More than ever with the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic and the effects it has had all over the world. The advice is that a lockdown is soon heading our way means that the general population will be left isolated and possible demotivated.
With the recent news of all Personal training studios, gyms and wellness centres being shut down, i would like to share with you the importance of maintaining a training regime.
It now seems every Personal Trainer has become an “expert” in creating home programs and being a guru as an online coach. I say this in the nicest way possible, with a little eye roll. Even a poorly designed or random training program will produce some results if followed consistently and training occurs regularly.
“You may ask, what are the most important elements of training?” Without a doubt consistent training and the guidance of a reputable coach are the most important aspects of athletic success and forward progress.
A well-designed training plan
A well-designed training plan followed consistently will maximize results. A well-designed plan has the proper mix of stress and recovery and ensures the right type of training occurs at the right time.
It should be specific to the individuals needs but must be adaptable and adjustable as well.
Most of all during this time stay positive, consistent and keep moving your body!
